The likelyhood of having sunshine and high temperatures during your holiday, makes Majorca a very popular destination and as the beaches throughout the island are wonderful, it is easy to see why that combination has made this island so desirable for many years.

You will probably be perfectly happy sun bathing and taking it easy, however, there are places that you should try to visit when you are there and here are four attractions high on the list.–

I) Caves of Drach.
Lake Martel is one of the largest underground lakes in the world and you can visit the caves
and even take a short sail on the lake. The stalactites and stalagmites are huge and the whole experience is
something you will certainly remember.

2) Palma Cathedral.
This enormous 13th century gothic building, sits in an elevated area of the old town and can be seen for miles around.
The rose window and overall appearance of the structure is breathtaking.

3) Marineland.
The family will enjoy visiting this fun place, located near Palma, – where the dolphins are one of the main attractions.

4) Soller Railway.
Running from Palma to Soller in northwest Majorca, this electric train, built around 1920 attracts thousands of tourists every year.

These are only a few of the many attractions Majorca has to offer and once you have seen these,–you can again relax on the beach and enjoy meals in the many restaurants in this green island.
