One of the easiest ways to get around Majorca and see all the sights is to hire a car. This is an island with lots to see, and although public transport is pretty good here, there are times when having a car is much easier especially if you’re travelling with young children for example.
There is plenty of choice on where you can hire a car from in Majorca, and one of the easiest places is probably at the Palma de Mallorca Airport when you first arrive on the island. There are eight companies who have offices within the airport itself they are:

Avis

Europcar

Sixt

There are also various other hire companies who don’t work directly out of the airport, but who are located nearby in Palma, and who will arrange for you to collect the car either at the airport or in Palma. For example:

Hirecars.com is an online car hire broker with a large network of over 3500 service outlets worldwide including Palma in Mallorca, you can arrange to pick up your car from the airport or in Palma itself.
Do You Spain

This company is firmly established as one of the main Spanish car hire companies.
Prices for car hire in Majorca are pretty good on the whole, and there are often excellent deals to be had if you book in advance. In fact, booking your car hire in advance makes a lot of sense as travel can be tiring and there’s nothing worse than having to queue and answer lots of questions when you’re tired.
