Majorca (Mallorca) is the largest of the 4 Balearic islands off the east coast of mainland Spain. The name originated from the Latin – insula mairos meaning ‘larger island’. The island is 550km from mainland Spain and is highly popular holiday destination for most of Europe.
The capital of Majorca is Plama city which is also the capital of all 4 islands.
